N-C-A-A

Has anyone else watching the March Madness on TV noticed that no one, not announcers or commericals or anyone else has said "N-C-double-A" - they all say "N-C-A-A." I want to know if it was in the contract for CBS and the NCAA that they have to say "N-C-A-A" and not "N-C-double-A."
I'm sure along the way, someone will slip, but you should check it out.
It's quite curious...
