Rocky Mountain High!

We had a fun family vacation to Colorado this weekend for my cousin's (technically 2nd cousin) wedding. We started the weekend in Ft. Collins with Uncle Graham and "Aunt" Shannon on Friday. Saturday we packed up the Subaru and drove through Rocky Mountain National Park (via Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuous motorway in the United States, with more than eight miles lying above 11,000' and a maximum elevation of 12,183') on our way to the wedding locale, Beaver Creek. Here's a picture of the Coupes near the top of Rocky Mountain National Park at the Alpine Visitors' Center - elevation 11,799 feet:

The weather was beautiful all weekend. Hopefully I can post a picture of "the fam" in Beaver Creek at the scenic wedding location - the aspens painted beautiful strokes of yellow across the mountains...those pictures are on Ma Smitty's camera!

update:

I have also added some pictures to the September Album in the Madeline Photo Gallery.
