1) She started pulling on her left ear more than normal, especially while she was eating (sucking), but both ears checked out fine. Dad suggests that the ear pulling may be due to teething and/or a fun new toy that is readily available to play with!
2) She is "losing her voice," if you can call it that, since all she does is laugh, babble, and cry. It's so sad (and kind of cute in a pathetic way) when she tries to cry and it only comes out as a squeak! Her throat and the rest of her body checked out a-okay - just a common cold. Better safe than sorry!
Other than those two things and the other normal stuff that comes with a cold (congestion, runny nose, little cough), Maddie has been in very good spirits and has been going about her day just as she always does with the exception of some trouble sleeping, probably due to congestion/sore throat, but I've had trouble sleeping since I've been sick too. She liked playing with the white paper that they put over the table at the doctor's office - it's crinkly and makes fun sounds and you can put it in your mouth and wrap yourself in it if you grab it and roll over - it was pretty cute!
A visit to the doctor also means that Maddie also had a weigh in.

Exciting stuff! She's still growing, but I think she has slowed down now that she does more than just lie on her back and drool. She's rolling all over the place and up on all fours rocking back and forth - she's checking things out to see what she's going to crawl towards first!
