Oh What a Night!

Everyone and everything seems to be returning to normal now that we're are home after an overnight stay at the children's hospital. Curious Madeline got into some prescription medicine and may or may not have ingested an unknown amount, prompting a trip to the children's hospital ER. It was not a fun experience because Madeline had to have a nasogastric tube to put charcol into her stomach and an IV just in case. She was also hooked up to various machines and monitored throughout the night. We are so thankful that everything is okay. Madeline was a trooper, but she cries if anyone who is wearing scrubs approaches her. Whatever she may or may not have ingested has now passed out of her system...as evident by the many bright black diapers from the charcol. Don't be surprised if you get a posion control (their phone number is 1-800-222-1222) sticker from me - they played a very important role in this whole ordeal as did the wonderful staff at the children's hospital. Also on my list of things to do, more more more toddler-proofing everything!
