Pumpkins!

It's that time of year when we all feel obligated to get a photo op at the pumpkin farm. Okay, that sounded way cynical, but it's what I thought until I took Maddie to a farm today that sells pumpkins and other fall things and has hayrides and goats and fish. I got to see the experience though the eyes of a child (from the 'burbs who isn't familiar with farm things). Maddie had a great time and that's maybe even an understatement. She was so excited for the hayride before we even left the house...don't know how she knows what a hayride is, but maybe she just picked up on our delivery of the information that we were going on a hayride. They also had goats and fish, both of which she fed (or watched the adults feed, especially with the goats). They had wagons in the barn with all the different colors of pumpkins, so Maddie put pumpkins in the wagon, moved it, put them back, put more in....you get the idea. She loved it! Also, it was a gorgeous day...not a cloud in the sky and 75 degrees...beautiful. And Mason gladly and patiently went along for the ride and photo ops - pumpkins really do make a nice setting for fall photos :)

So excited when the hayride started!
