I love the Sports Gal - she is hilarious! For those of you who don't know, she is the wife of the ESPN columnist Bill Simmons (aka, The Sports Guy). Each week during the football season the Sports Guy writes a column about his picks for the NFL games that week. One year (maybe two years ago, though I'm not sure) he was doing so poorly in his picks that he decided that someone who didn't know anything about football would probably do the same or better than him (or something like that). So, his wife, Sports Gal, agreed to make her own picks with the condition that she could write about anything she wanted in a section of his column (aka, Sports Gal Rants). This season her picks beat the Sports Guys quite handily, so she wrote the whole column for the last week of the season. Here is the link:

One of my favorite Sports Gal quotes from the column: "He should have called his [fantasy football] team 'Sperm Bank,' because that's about all he's contributed to our two-child house during football season."
