Getting her started early! All she needs are some cool (maroon) knee-high socks with the fake stirrups on the sides. Do they make those in baby sizes???
The real story - Dad suggested that Mom should try to take Madeline to a park to give her an outlet for her energy. Playing on playground equipment proved to be fun but quite a lot of work and stress for Mom since Madeline hasn't quite mastered things like climbing safely. Solution: find a big, flat, open, outdoor space covered in something other than concrete where Madeline can run around freely - in this case, a softball field at our local park. The soccer fields in our local parks are currently under repair, but Mom never really played soccer anyway...
